Strategic Review for Iconic Veteran’s Charity

The challenge

A newly appointed CEO identified the need to update operational plans and establish a culture of performance.

The solution

Schroffel Consulting was engaged to provide initial planning support to the Executive Team and Board. A strategic review was conducted that included workshops to review major programs and operational areas.

The result

Operational plans were developed that aligned with the agreed strategic direction of the organisation. A program of small strategic initiatives was established to ensure the charity would meet its community obligations and care objectives.

The Executive Team has been working through their initiatives with a dashboard progress report being presented to the Board every month.


Reset Business Objectives and KPIs for the Technology Division of a Global Logistics Company

The challenge

After a major change in business direction, the Melbourne-based CIO of global logistics business needed to reset the core strategy of the technology group. The changes in business meant that the Group Technology would need to deliver value through the technology divisions of distributed business units.

The solution

Schroffel Consulting was engaged to facilitate strategic planning sessions for Group Technology. Senior technology executives and business leaders were engaged in developing strategies focussed on delivering value to the business. Sub-plans were also developed and represented as “one-pagers” that provided a clear set of objectives and KPIs for each work unit within the technology organisation.

The result

After presenting outcomes and objectives to the CEO and Leadership Team, Group Technology confirmed a clear mandate to deliver its program to the business. KPIs have been cascaded through the organisation and teams are working to deliver on the objectives.


Strategy and Business Plan for Fast Growing Technology Business

The challenge

The Managing Director of a fast growth technology business identified the need to establish a plan that consolidates achievements and sets a strategy for deliberate and targeted business improvement and growth.

The solution

Schroffel Consulting was engaged to review the strategic plan and establish the organisational foundations for sustainable growth. The Directors and members of the leadership team and key staff were fully engaged in a planning process that delivered a clear vision and plan for the business.

The Schroffel Consulting Team, including Advisory Chair, Business Strategist, CFO and Brand Specialist, worked on key business process and systems need to position the business for sustainable growth with solid foundation for governance and management.

The result

The team delivered, a strategic plan, operating models, risk management framework, organisational development strategy and revised accounting practices and budgeting tools, and brand refresh.

The business continues to grow and the Schroffel Consulting team continues its engagement as a partner in their success.


R&D and Export Market Development Grants for Innovative Australian Manufacturer

The challenge

An innovative Australian manufacturing and wholesale business required support in developing a research and development program that would comply with requirements of AusIndustry’s R&D Tax Incentive Program.

The solution

Schroffel Consulting was engaged to provide review R&D program and develop documentation that would support the company’s submission for related government grants.

The Schroffel consulting team, including an R&D project specialist, meticulously reviewed the company’s research program and ensured all key R&D activities were properly documented and accounted for.

The result

AusIndustry approved the R&D program, and the company subsequently received a substantial cash rebate for a significant proportion of its R&D expenses.

The company continues to work with the Schroffel Consulting team to design and manage ongoing R&D projects.
